Super cross in S.D
San Diego Super cross was super tight, got to walk around the pit area before and after the race looking at the big rig set up's and work shops, Amazing how much crap each team has for one race. not even half an hour after the final race they had the bikes completely stripped down and each part put back into there little containers.

Were have all the Aussies gone?
Not sure if you have noticed or not, but how many of Australia's best talents are O/S.
I don't mean Out of Style, but Over Seas or as some like to refer to as Off Shore. Either way, an increasing number of Australia's most talented citizens have deserted us, or have they?
This is a view that can lean either way, are they sell outs? or are they making the most of what the world stage has to offer by going O/S ?
Me personally, I think it's great.
All the power to them to make the sacrifice and chase the dream that each and every one of us has had at some point in our lives. (Even if it was in kindy.)
A lot needs to be said for this countries greatest sports people, to pack up and piss off is a sacrifice that is of an epic proportion where sometimes the rewards are so far out of reach that the hunger to be the best is simply a dream.
That is until you reach the peak of that dream and make it to the top.(Whatever that may be.)
The current list of Aussies that have chosen this path are listed below in no particular order but are flying the Aussie flag with the pride and professionalism that dreams are made of.
WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please add comments to this post or email us directly @ info@thebarties.com Lets see how big we can make this list.
Chad Reed (Moto X)
Shane Watts (Enduro)
Chad Bartie (Skateboarding)
Matt Mumford (Skateboarding)
Michael Byrne (Moto X)
Brett Mettcalfe (Moto X)
Dan Reardon (Moto X)
Dennis Durrant (Skateboarding)
Joe Pease (Skateboarding)
Jake Moss (Moto X)

It's on again... AMA Supercross 2009.
It seems with each passing year the stakes for the AMA Supercross gets higher and higher, and none more so than the 2009 series.
With two rounds down things couldn't be any hotter with Chad Reed coming second to James Bubba Stewart by .5 of a second, reportedly to be one of the closest finishes in AMA Supercross history.
The boys head back to Anaheim on the 17th for round #3, can't wait!!!
If anyone out there has ever used www.supercrossonline.com to watch a race via webcast, we would love to hear from you.

Insanity V Sanity
The title of this post says it all, INSANITY V SANITY.
The Festive Season has mostly passed now, with the majority of us either back at work or starting on Monday after a much needed break, I'm sure!
With everything that happened through out this festive season, the one thing that really stood out for me was a gift i received, Travis Pastrana's
"199 LIVES. THE TRAVIS PASTRANA STORY" on DVD.
I have always been a fan of Travis ever since I first saw him at a round of the AMA Supercross series in Anaheim. His speed and natural talent was simply amazing to see. This DVD is a must for anyone that is a fan of him and even for those that aren't. We are all aware of a number of the crazy things he's done over the last decade or so, yet to see it all compiled into one extremely intense, compact DVD shows just how truly talented and insane Travis is. This DVD takes you behind the scenes with very personal interviews with both his mum and dad as well as his closest friends and even his biggest fan, his grandmother.
thebarties.com will have this DVD avalaible for pruchase on Monday 5th Janaury.
I hope you enjoy this DVD as much as I did.
